Luckas wandered around the city for a bit, watching curiously as people laughed and danced around to the music of several street performers. It was amusing how people just tossed their troubles aside for one day every year, even the healers who seemed to be the most uptight people in the world. They seemed to just give meaning to the most meaningless things sometimes, simply for the sake of believing something. They way he saw it, most people lived off those little illusions, never really looking to find the truth of things in fear of what they would find. Luckas was still unsure of whether he thought that was pathetic or clever. After all, no one wants to feel pain, and knowing the truth often means nothing, so why really bother? So, was it stupid or smart to pretend not to know? Was it stupid or smart to not want to know?

He walked without paying much attention to where he was going, he hadn't been in Newhaven in almost five years, and he couldn't really say he knew his way around anymore. Eventually he found himself in front of the city orphanage, stopping to take a good look at it. It seemed it had gone through some serious work, he almost didn't recognize it as the dump he lived in for five years of his life. He was still standing in front of the building, wondering if he should go have a look inside, when someone collided with him at full force, knocking him down. Looking up, he caught a glimpse of a bunch of people rushing towards the castle, one of them shouted a "Sorry, friend." as he ran along. Luke jumped to his feet and started to follow the crowd until he caught up to someone. He caught a man by the shoulder and asked where they were all going.

"We're going to see the snowball fight!" The guy answered, excitement clear in his voice.
"A snowball fight?" Luke asked a little confused.
The man chuckled. "You're not from around here are you, kid? Not a snowball fight, THE snowball fight!"
With that said, the guy ran along. Luke hesitated for a moment, but then decided to follow them and see what made THE snowball fight so special. Didn't take him long to realize what it was.

The 'snowball fight' was actually more like a massive tournament. Rules were given and teams were being formed and organized by size. The whole thing seemed like a great deal of fun, so Luckas managed to get himself on a small team with some of the city folk. They weren't bad, but not the greatest of strategists. While Luke managed to sneak around and hit some people on the head from behind, eventually he found himself cornered and bombarded by another group of city folk, most of them teens, but they seemed to be led by a retired castle guard. Needless to say it was a bit of a massacre and when Luke managed to get himself out of the mess, he was covered in snow from head to toe. It had been incredibly fun though.

One of the guys from his team, who had also been cornered and 'killed', chuckled at him. "You are lousy at this."
Luke simply grinned. "Well, what can I say? I guess I'm not much of a killer, huh?" He said with a small shrug, heading towards the castle to find a fireplace, and maybe see what interesting things he could come up with there, thinking of it though... There was something he could do that was always interesting; it just required a little bit of searching.

It didn't take long for him to find a servant who knew where maybe he could find the Captain of the Black Knights, out of the couple of options the man had given him, the archives were closer, so he headed in that direction. The snow that covered his clothes had now melted, and he was soaking wet. The water had sunk into his clothes and also the bandages he had underneath them, which was causing an annoying itch, to which Luke only responded to by absently scratching the infected wound over his clothes. Finally, after a little bit of walking he spotted Mageria walking in the direction of the Archives. "Hum..." He mumbled, deciding to follow her from a short distance just to see if she would ignore him, and for how long.
