Aavyn didn't want to offend him or anything. Her eyes showed a bit of shock hearing his comment about the agreement between humans and vampires. She looked at the vampire who heard his comment then shook her head trying to get him to calm down a little. But she knew the vampire wouldn't try anything to her new husband. Of course it would be rude of him to do anything. "Okay gentlemen everything is going to be fine. I'm sure you can settle this in a calm manner." Aavyn quickly tried to defuse the situation.
She jumped when she heard Simon's mother come and yell at him. "Oh no it's fine. I'm not offended by it." She flashed her brilliant smile to his mother trying to be on her best behavior. She turned back to Simon and rested her hand on his cheek and smiled at him as well. "I've heard worse. Don't fret over it." She let her hand fall to her side. Aavyn glanced at the dance floor seeing it was her and Simon's time to share a dance. "I think everyone is waiting for us to dance now." Everyone's eyes were once on them again waiting for them to make a move. Had they seen Simon's mother yelling at him? Surely not. Holding her hand out she waited for him to take it so they can get this dance over with.
