Juliana shudders just a bit. She had a thing about people prying into her... oddities. What makes her tick, things like that. "I was born this way, why?" She asked, sounding more defensive and closed off than she wanted to. *Curses...*
*You bring this on yourself, you know.*
*Shut-up.*
"And I need no help. I've done perfectly well for twenty-one years." *Besides, as a writer, I have a right to be weird. It helps me write.* But she didn't want to admit she was a writer. She was unaccomplished, never published anything, and was just too embarrassed. "And I will continue to do well on my own." *I need no-one.*
*You've been telling yourself that for ten years, Juliana.*
*I don't need you telling me that!*
*It's true, though. Eventually you're going to crack. Again.*
*And there won't be anyone there! Again.*
Her character had no response to that, and Juliana felt a small amount of pride, but kept it contained. She was crazy enough, having voices in her head. She didn't want others to find out *just* how bad it was.
