Vivi Comreaux
New York, New York
9:30

"Jeeze, Vivi. You know you're supposed to use the dolly for that?" Faye, the bar manager at 116, yelled out to the young redhead as Faye quickly hurried to her side. Vivi, the bartender on shift that night, had been in the middle of changing out a keg when her manager noticed she hadn't bothered with a keg dolly. Instead choosing to pull it all the way from the walk-in freezer to the taps. By hand. Something that usually just wasn't done due to the weight of a full keg. The fear of pulled muscles and back spasms was why there were strict rules about such things. Rules which Vivi ignored.

The 22 year old could really care less about the rules, she was doing her job and so what if she didn't use the stupid thing. She didn't have to. Vivi was strong, very strong. At times even frightening herself with the force she was capable of wielding. There were times when Vivi tried to rely on this abundance of strength only to find it lacking and it wasn't like it was superhuman or anything. At least not yet but the outspoken young woman could feel it growing every day. The overabundance of strength was easily explained away, she thought, by the fact she'd been an athlete and at 5'10" with a solid frame it seemed appropriate. Shaking her head almost imperceptibly Vivi came back to the task at hand.

Vivi's ever increasing preoccupation with the vivid dream she had while under anasthesia was beginning to take its toll. Her bosses noticed, her customers, her friends and the thing was Vivi really didn't care anymore. She was special and they would never understand, no one could understand. Only the people she'd seen once in a dream. "I know Fay, but it's not heavy. It's quicker if I just go grab it instead of having to walk all the way back to get the dolly. I'm just wasting time that I could be up here making money." Vivi replied unable to keep the slight exasperation from showing through as she quickly changed the kegs, sliding the empty one out of her way and finished pouring her beer. Sliding it over to her customer who had been waiting ever so impatiently.

"Bout time, sweetheart." He barked at Vivi, deigning to leave her the quarter he'd gotten back as change. Before he could turn his back and leave the bar Vivi had grabbed the quarter and flipped it back at him. "Hey you, prick! You not see me have to change the keg, you think I can magic you up a budweiser from thin air. Keep your quarter." She snottily replied to the angry man's retreating back and extended middle finger, knowing in the back of her mind she would probably be reprimanded. Warily she cast an eye towards Faye who was all ready smirking as she began to chastise the much younger bartender. "Yeah, there you go. Making all that money with that winning personality of yours. I don't care how bad ass you think you are, you cornfed dairy farmer's daughter, follow the rules. And remember. Smile." Walking away from Vivi, Faye laughed condescendingly and shook her head at the hot-headed girl behind the bar.
"Hey! My dad's an accountant!" Vivi cried back petulantly but with not much resolve. Faye was all ready gone, she had people that were thirsty and rent was due. Stepping up to the bar her blue eyes searched out a waiting customer. "Hey, what can I get for you?"
