Jerico Javey

Jerico rummaged through the 'kitchen' cabinets and ended up coming out empty handed. The only stuff in there to eat was junk that reminded him of the food those repugnant lunch ladies served him when he was in high school. There wasn't anything sweet to eat either, which left him leaving the room with a disappointed pout on his face, rummaging thoughtfully through his pockets. A couple pieces of gum, one dumdum lolipop, and a pack of sweet-tarts. Yeah, he was definitely going out later. Were they allowed to do that? He sure hoped so. Winny would be getting hungry by now. He gave her a lot of food for the day yesterday, but cats got lonely and he missed her. Winny was certainly much better company than any of the losers around this place. Since he had to stay here while working anyway, maybe he could sneak her in somehow...

He was debating in his head all the ways that this may be possible, getting to the point where he considered shoving the poor cat into his jacket and pretending to of gained a lot of weight in less than an hour, when he stopped upon seeing Kia leaving a room in the hallway. He blinked at the cat-boy, not a little more relieved than he originally planned to be by just seeing he was still alive and around somewhere. It was much better than thinking he'd snuck out or something. That would not of been good for his head. Instead of showing his relief, however, Jerico's eyes narrowed and he marched up to the shorter boy. Had he grown a little taller? No, had to be his imagination.

"Where the hell have you been?" he demanded, looking the boy over. There was something off.. Something that his subconscious told him wasn't apart of his imagination. He looked at the nearby, slightly ajar door and wondered whose room it was behind it. It wasn't Kia's. He'd gone to Kia's and nobody had been in there. It couldn't be Jennifer's. Well, it could be, but it wouldn't make much sense if it was. The way she was, she'd have burned him up to a crisp. He didn't look shaken or burned in the least. "What were you doing..?" he asked, his voice lowering dangerously as realization dawned on him. It wasn't Ash's room. It wasn't Kir's because, again, that wouldn't of made much sense. It certainly wasn't his own room. So there was only one option left. Jerico did not like the option his mind presented him with.

Disheveled appearance, raggedy clothes, messy hair, smelling of sweat and...that other familiar smell that could only be compared to the scent of two people together. Bluntly, his mind told him that Kia smelled like sex. Jerico ground his teeth together. Some more logical side of his mind wondered why he was even as worked up over this as he was, but the fact of the matter was that he was worked up and he was ready to kill a certain Kaili. How dare he defile Kia's innocence with his sex-crazed self. How dare he even consider touching someone so ignorant with such sinful hands. How. Dare. He. "Go to bed, Kia," Jerico managed to grind out once he saw how sleepy Kia looked. He pulled the pill bottle out of his pocket and gave it to him. "Take one. One. Got it? Take one pill and go to sleep. I'll get you later." When he was sure Kia was going to do as he said, Jerico pushed the nearby door open and, sure as hell, saw none other than the disgusting king perv himself lying there on the bed with his eyes closed, looking pretty content with himself.

Jerico stomped up to the side of the bed and resisted the urge to punch Kaili right smack in his smug little face. Instead, he opted for reaching down and plugging Kaili's nose. "What the fuck did you do with Kia? I saw him leaving your room." He wanted to hit him or something. Or something. He was so pissed off, he wasn't sure what he should do about it. A fight wouldn't be good if it got to the higher ups, but he wasn't really thinking clearly. He just wanted to...to... He didn't know! Something horrible! He wanted Kaili to pay. "What. Did. You. Do."

Asha Laken

Ash sighed lightly to himself, wondering what the weather must be outside. He felt like it was a rainy day, but he hoped for his own personal sake that it wasn't. Today wasn't a day he could afford to be acting all depressed. Not around these people who hardly knew him and especially not around the battered and scarred Kir. He had to pretend today, just as he usually did. He just didn't feel up to it. But that never stopped him before, so he knew it wouldn't stop him now. It would just hurt a little more than usual. He tried to think of positive things. Sunshine. Dolly. Puppies. Kitties. This job. Money. No bullies here. He sighed again. Kir. A small smile appeared on his face.

As he neared the library, he heard a faint sound coming from inside. He turned the corner curiously and his heart instantly jumped a beat when he saw the unmistakable form of Kir sitting there on the floor, his creepy little 'Angels' surrounding him. At first, when Ash saw Kir's head in his arms like they were, he didn't think much of it. He thought Kir might of fallen asleep in that position. That is, until he heard the faint, although distinct, noise that he just barely caught. The very slight shuddering of the shoulders. Ash's smiling expression faded into one of immediate worry. Kir was crying. Ash's eyes widened and he instantly went to the other boy's side, shifting to his knees in front of him when he got there. He ignored the unnerving Angels nearby.

"Kir?" he asked, his voice soft and full of worry. He carefully grabbed Kir's wrists to pull them away from his watery eyes just to confirm that he was crying. Sure enough, there were tears coming from Kir's eyes. It only made Ash's heart skip once more. He wasn't sure if it was from worry or anxiety. Was he still in pain? Was he sad because of the book? Did something else happen while they were all sleeping? "What's wrong? What happened? Did Jennifer do something again?" He glared momentarily--a look that didn't seem to suit him. "If she did, tell me." At the thought of Jennifer, he'd accidentally tightened his grip around Kir's wrists. Once he realized it, he immediately let go of them altogether. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He reached out to cautiously wipe tears away from Kir's good eye, smiling softly. It wasn't forced. "Are you okay? Can I do anything to help?"
