Bill spent most of the mid morning sitting at the counter, smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee. A few people came in for this or that, but in reality it was a slow start to a Saturday. Bill had just left the counter a few minutes before to grab a box of phillips screw-drivers, when he heard the jingle of the door's bell. "Hello, anyone here?" could be heard from a younger sounding woman. Billy couldn't tell if he knew them or not, being in the back the voice sounded muffled to him. "Just a sec! Be with ya in a moment!" Billy hollered so whoever it was would know he was on his way.

Just as he was on his way back to the front of the store, another jingle could be heard, and a man's voice could be heard as well. His was much lower, both in volume and tone, than hers. Another moment, and he was back behind the counter. He saw the woman was Bonnie Pheldman, and the man was black Henry. Bill smiled at both of them as he sat the cardboard box on the counter.

"Afternoon folks!" Bill started, "Bonnie, a pleasure to see you. How's Fontaine's treating you?" Bill then turned his attention to Henry, "And Henry, a good day to you as well. I trust ya'll came to buy something or had questions; what can I get for ya'll?"
