Hunger was an absolute weakness, one the children of the Void would never relish in. Catalyst, a new found child of the Void, found Hunger to be an annoyance he needed gone. "Hunger..." Came the hiss from behind his mask. Removing it would be tricky, not to mention dangerous. He needed energy, and needed it immediately, but who? The answer came in almost an instant. The one who could feed him would be the giggling creature, but how to obtain it?
The direct approach only served a certain purpose, but so does subtlety. Unfortunately, the creature kept on moving, speaking to his knives. He was obviously insane, but those he met in the Void, even if it was only for a brief moment, were also insane within their own minds. To him, and to others, they almost seemed sane. It was a small comfort to know that the Void's influence has stretched very far. Shaking his head to dispel the thoughts, he turned to glare and growl at his target. Direct, or subtlety? Direct, or subtlety? He thought about taking him from behind, with surprise as his ally, but found that to be a mistake, as it kept on moving, dancing around. Direct approach it was, then.
Plunging the spear deep into the rock, Catalyst surged towards his prey, shoving and tossing items and people aside, before piercing the creature's shadow. The other shadows convulsed, then converged on the pair, slowly isolating them off from the outside world. A shadowed claw appeared over the veil, ripping it from the gaping maw that made up his mouth. What was seen, was indescribable. Only those that stare into it, will see whatever desires grip their heart, be it terrible, or wonderful. "You will... give me... the energy... I NEED!" Teeth slowly appeared in the maw, jagged and feral, "Feed me... and gain... STRENGTH! Reject me... and know... SUFFERING!" Power surged about the pair, as tendrils of black ichor began to slowly bore their way into the two. "Feed me... Become a part... of the VOID!" The maw opened wider, threatening to engulf the creature in his entirety.
