All of this nonsense about colored folks and white folks not bein able associate with one another was just all around stupid and disrespectful. She put her hands on her hips "Well Sheriff aint it a lovely day outside shouldn't ya be enjoyin it" she said with a bit of sarcasm. Then she did somethin that she knew would just burn the sheriffs biscuits right good. Mr Fontaine may have had influence and money, but her father was hard working and respected by everyone in Bedford Falls, despite just bein a farmer. Besides Henry was fine young man and would never think of doin anything as heinous as arson, it just made her sick that the sheriff would even say such a thing.
