It's funny how everything a person knows can change in the span of a few minutes. Over a hundred years ago man kind dominated the world. They lived in great cities of glass and steel, protected from the elements and the laws of the wild by their own ingenuity. The world was theirs to command, there was no place they could not reach, from the deeps oceans to the highest mountains, and even the very moon itself on occasion. The planet was at their finger tips, and all it's bounties were theirs for the taking. Until that day.

ROOOAAAHHH

When the nuclear fires scorched the earth and darkened the skies, the established order of the world went through a major power shift. Those once pristine cities of glass and steel? They came crumbling down with the thundering crash of broken glass and bending metal. Humanities own ingenuity led to it's destruction, as the raw killing power they had amass broke free from their control. Their once expansive reach now could barely cling to their survival. And in the wake of their down fall, something older rouse from it's slumber.

"Is that... oh my god. SOUND THE ALARM."

It's funny how life can change like that. I the waking years of your infancy, what you expected to be their to nurture and protect you was now gone, and suddenly your left alone in a harsh reality. Just like that shining age of technology for the once proud race of humanity.

"Get he women and children inside! Get the women and children inside before he comes around again- SHIT DOWN"

Just like when his mother never returned from hunting.

"ARG. AHHHHAHAAAA. My arm. It ripped off my fucking arm!"

Just like these humans who thought their little burrows could hide them.

The comms manager kicked the door open. With a ragged breath the stumbled in toward his desk, still clutching his left shoulder where his arm was missing from. He had to move quickly, before he bled out or the thing knocked over the radio tower. Taking his hand away from the bleeding wound he flicked the out put setting on. As he reached for the receiver he heard, or rather felt the complex shake with another loud BOOM. Heedless of the shaking ground and the sounds of battle outside he started broadcasting his message.

"This is watch outpost seven from the western watch. Repeat. This is western watch outpost seven." He paused to cringe as another wave of pain rolled through him. "We are under attack. Repeat. We are- nrgh... we are under attack. We have a city raiser tearing the burrows apart. It's a fire breather, red scaled, bigger then the normal breed. All nearby towns please prep for plausible attack. We aren't going to last much longer but please, be ready for him 'cause he's here and taking us apart. If anyone can send assistance please respond. Hostile is tearing the outpost apart. Repeat, hostile is a red fire breather-"

He was cut off at the sound of a loud crashing sound as the ceiling cam apart. Debris came raining down on him and the office shook violently. When he looked up he saw him. Scales red like blood, scars, made by both human and dragon, lining across his body. But most noticeable were the eyes, filled with over a centuries worth of malice, topped by a lone, single horn on his right side. The other horn long since gone.

"It's one horn! It's freaking one horn! One Horn is-"

That was the last thing the comm's manager was able broadcast before Drograh let a torrent of fire escape his great maw. The inferno, one the likes of which only those of the true fire tongues could exhale, was hot enough to melt stone like ice, and it incinerated the small human before he could draw another breath.

Drograh raised his head to survey his work. The ground was ripped open with fire and smoke billowing out of the holes in the ground and what structure that hadn't been crushed were slowly being included into the ever spreading blaze. Nothing was left alive, and even if anyone did survive, the falling ash and chocking smoke would rob their lungs of the air the survivor would need to breath.

Satisfied that his mark had been left Drograh reared his giant head back and let out a great roar that sounded for miles. His message was clear. His dominance had been marked and any that dared oppose him would be silenced. With his task done, the great one horned beast of red fiery death lifted his great wings and took to the skies once more, leaving the humans to wither and scream as the slowly burned and suffocated to death.
