Join her? Jade chewed on her bottom lip, trying to decide how to reply. The company would be welcome, but wouldn't another person just slow her down? Then again, what effect did slowing down have on her? It's not like she had anywhere to be; she simply went from one place to another. No deadlines or specific times. What of food? Kaylani, as she had introduced herself, was obviously a good hunter. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing?

"I've been on hunts before," Jade replied, "but I take up any job I can. I guess you could say I'm tough; I'm perfectly capable of fighting and defending myself. I grew up being trained by my grandfather." She paused a moment then wen't on. "You can join me, if you like, but I must warn you - it's not an easy life. Though, your company is very welcome, I only spend time with other people when on raids, or some job that requires a group. Other than that, I'm on my own. We can see how this pans out, but if it doesn't work...well, we can cross that bridge when we get there."
