The torch in Anez's hand dropped, thankfully her mouth didn't though, and she stepped back. Her breath got caught in her throat.

"What?" she asked still backing away until her back was against the glass of a tank with the first Orog. Suddenly all the amazement she felt was replaced by fear, a deep fear that sets into your bones. Everything around her looked like something out of ghost stories, ones that she heard when she was a child that her brother would tell her to scare her.

"W-when were you planning on telling me? After the wedding?" she turned slightly so she could back away further, not letting her eyes off Cain, "And whatever happened to asking me what I thought about all this? Or just asking me in general?!" She turned around completely taking off into the dark, not stopping until she tripped falling on her knees. She didn't get up, just stayed there holding herself, her thoughts drifting to her love's face. The way his smile reminded her of the sun wild, bright, and warm. How his eyes seemed to see into the future all the time as he thought of new things. A tear dropped from one of her eyes, just one, and smile crept on her face. She had loved him with all her heart, leaving no room for doubt. And now that he was gone and she was to be marrying the king of her peoples' enemy, she felt guilt as if doing so would betray her love's memory.
