The message had been dull enough, a simple summons and nothing more. The words had been blunt, useless and to the point. The only thing that had made any impression was the use of the word 'immediately'. This meant that instant movement was expected from all who received the message and it was a wise idea to obey. If there was one thing Lucas had learnt in his time training it was not to disobey a summons however derogatory it might make you feel. The resentment was minimal though, it wasn't like he'd been doing anything else when the message arrived. He'd been sprawled out on his bed for the best part of the last two hours reading a book about strangulation which, though informative, was lacking in anything of interest. The human anatomy books he had borrowed from the medical section were full of ways a person could be killed and whilst reading them Lucas had decided he preferred the practical application but the pictures were nice...
With a sigh Lucas swung his leather clad legs off the bed and stood up. The main elevator wasn't too far from his room so if he left now he'd be pretty early. After a couple of seconds he decided that it was better to be early than late in this case. Lucas pulled his black leather jacket off the hook on the back of his door and slipped his arms through then he attached and locked his manacles to his wrists. He never left his room without the chains. He didn't really trust any of the others to not jump him when he was least expecting it so he was always prepared. When he was sure he was ready Lucas pushed open his door to be greeted by the most horrendous sound. Somewhere between a drowning cat and a banshee the howls were deafening and the worst thing was Lucas knew he had to walk towards them. With another huge sigh Lucas set off towards the elevator, chains dragging on the ground behind him. It took him less than five minutes to reach the elevator and other minute to reach the top floor. As the doors opened the scene before him very nearly made him turn around and go back. Charlotte was sat In Rose's lap and the pair were just staring into each other's eyes. Havok was close by them but was obviously not invited to the party and didn't want to be if the way he was standing and staring was anything to go by. Lucas wasted another couple of seconds deciding whether or not to go back down. He had just come all the way up here and it wouldn't look good if he wasn't there and everyone else was...decision made Lucas walked across the room, skirted round the table and sat himself on the empty leather sofa. He lent his arm on the arm rest and sprawled out like a contented cat. Dammed if he wasn't going to be comfortable for this meeting.
