Daiki's eyes widened slightly as he turned back towards Fa Sheng. "The thrown is insecure...?" he mumbled back, trying to understand why it was said like this. Daiki frowned and turned toward Fa Sheng as he shook his head sadly. "You don't have to sound so upset about this, brother. Your attendants have been hounding you for years and now that you have a beautiful wife you still are indifferent to the thought? Why is that?" For once, Daiki's voice was neither condescending or arrogant. He was simply curious.
"I'm not talking about an heir for Fa Sheng, but a son for Katsuro. Wouldn't that be nice?" Daiki tilted his head. He couldn't wait to have a child to call his own.
Kazumi looked up in confusion as Kisei grasped her hand. Her brows furled until widening in understanding. She curled her fingers around his, knowing and fearful because there was nothing she could do for him.
Gently, Kazumi rose to her knees and crouched beside Kisei, stroking his side with her free hand as she murmured softly to him. "It's okay, just take it slow," she whispered, holding his hand tightly. Memories of the previous night flooded her mind, triggering the same fear and feelings of loss. "I'm here, Kisei. I won't leave. Just deep, easy breaths."
