“I didn’t kidnap you that was all Cap’s idea, I had nothing to do with that. You complain too much for me." Alice hissed under her breath angrily. That boy just didn't know when to hold his tongue; didn't when they were kids, still didn't now.

“By the way you look good without the pink bows and dress,” he smirked cockily.

Alice didn't miss a beat. "Thanks. Wish I could say I like how you've changed too but the pirate outfit is even worst on you than that purple woolly jumper your mother bought you for Christmas when you were eight..."

Maverick turned back to Aaron. “Don’t let this one foul you. Personally I think she needs to walk the plank."

His eyes flicked back to Alice and she caught a glimmer of the boy she used to know in them again. “Please be nice to Arron, he’s a god guy. You're lucky you’re not stuck with Jess taking care of you.”

"I'll try my best..." she replied, with a look that clearly meant the opposite of the words leaving her mouth.

He yawned, looking back at Aaron again, “It’s going to be a long night, I’ll be up top if you need anything. Have fun, Kid.” With that, Maverick was gone.

Aaron sighed, looking back at Alice. "Come on." He lead her down a corridor to a row of bunks before stopping in front of an empty one and rearranging it. "This is your bed Ms. Uh Turner is it ?"

"It's Miss," Alice said sharply before sighing. "No, it's Alice." So far, Maverick had shown no interest in her. Which, although she hated to say it, had hurt Alice. The Captain refused to tell her how she knew him and, from what she'd heard, the rest of the crew were worse than these two put together. Aaron had been the only person who'd shown any care or compassion for Alice since she'd been dragged onto this ship. She needed someone on her side or god knows what would happen to her. And, the more she could persuade Aaron to care about her, hopefully the more jealous this would make Maverick and he might finally crack. And then maybe she'd figure out who the Captain was too. She needed Aaron's help, and the best way to get it was by being nice, no matter how much in pained her to do...

She paused. "I... I don't have anything to wear to sleep in... And, I need to know if the Captain killed my father..."
