A single wolf ran through the forests, over the rocks, through rivers and mud. It had been running for days. Yet tired as he was, he carried on. It's for Mistress, he thought, Mistress could be in trouble!

Takira had sent him off that morning, crouching down and whispering gently into his ear. "Something is coming," she'd said, "and we must be ready. I want you to go find the others. Take them this, hopefully they will know it is from me. I beg them to return, Mora, Aron and I can not do this alone." She had taken the bow from her hair, the one Caylim had told her not to lose, and given it to him. He had taken it in his mouth, given a final glance to his panting and shaken Goddess, then began running.

The wolf, named Taie by his Mistress, caught scent of Rolaf. Taie recognized Rolaf, had seen him many times returning from a day of play with Takira from the woods. Letting out a howl, he ran to the group where Rolaf was near, and dropped the bow on the ground. Barking and howling, he leapt all around it, hoping they would realize what had happened, who it was from.

Mistress is hurt! She is tired, she needs help! Please! Cursing his inability to speak the human tongue, Taie pawed at bow once more, before grabbing the clothes of a standing man and trying to drag him back towards the forest.
