"Since I left and you uh..." Lane swallowed. Well this was... awkward to say the least. She shuffled a little, hoping that he wouldn't continue the sentence. He didn't, thank god. She let out a small breath.

"You went out of your way to see me?" she asked feeling rather shocked. The idea of famous Drake Moulderan going out his way to to see her was beyond her, "aren't you ya know... a super star now? Oh God, I didn't interrupt a shoot or anything right?"

She nibbled her lip nervously, playing with the corners of her sketch pad.

"And I haven't been too bad, just you know... the usual. Sketching uh..." she looked down at her sad drawing of a cherry tree, a spur of the moment thing that she used as an excuse not to attend the gossip sessions her friends were having. Think, Lane, think! What's relatively cool that wouldn't make her sound like a sad, anti social freak? "...Hot guys and um. smoking and stuff." Well that was... fail. She nibbled her lip harder, pulling her sketch pad to her chest and looking at her lap letting her hair fall in her face. Please, let the floor open up and swallow her now. Was that really the best she could come up with?

Though, she supposed it was better than admitting what she'd really been up to. Attending class, avoiding gossip and avoiding practically anything social that involved, drinking drugs and annoying people didn't sound so great. So she held her tongue a little. What's the harm in that? She forced on a smile and looked at him through her hair. When in doubt, ask him. Guys loved to talk about themselves and hopefully, it would get off the topic of her.
