Alvaro watched, golden eyes tracing every movements the strangers made. It seemed that something had given him – or something else – away. He sat in quiet, debating on the issue. If they made any moves at all, he could run back to his brothers and let them know they had intruders. Or, he could continue to watch and eventually introduce himself if he was not discovered first…

At the mention of dreams, his ears perked slightly. For a while now, he had been having wonderful dreams in which he encountered a man, and these dreams had always brought a foreboding sense of having to leave. In his curiosity, Alvaro absently stepped forward to get a better listen, unheeding to the twig that was now under his hoof. When he stepped, it snapped and sent a small family of chipmunks scurrying in the underbrush.
