Anubis wandered along one of the many paths that criss-crossed the college campus. With head ducked and hands clasped insecurely in front of him he made his way between the numerous buildings, all the while the large, dark furred dog of indeterminable breed followed along behind him. It had taken Anubis a number of minutes to realize that the dog was actually Ammit, his hound; only her form had been altered as well. Some of the people Anubis passed took notice of him. He tried to be friendly and offer a smile, but shortly there after, they would noticed his dog and hurry on their with with sudden purpose. After the third such person Anubis stopped and frowned. Turning his head he looked down at Ammit, who's big doggy tongue was lolling out between rather large and pointy teeth. "Hmm," Anubis said to himself, "I guess 'friendly puppy' isn't how I would describe you either, old girl."

It was just then that the sent of cooking food wafted across Anubis's nose. His stomach gave a loud grumble and he put hand to his belly. This was new to Anubis, after all he had never been hungry before, but he knew instinctively that he was empty and that the smell of food was attractive to him. "I think, I've heard of this sensation from the deceased mortals." He said to Ammit. "I am quite certain it is called starvation. Come hound, we seek food." And with that Anubis followed his nose until he came upon a spacious building with strange letters, he had never seen before, plastered onto its front. He did however understand the pictured of food that were painted all over the walls. "There, you see, I am positive that this picture," He said while gesturing to one of the many upon the walls, "Is of a loaf of bread. Food is to be found here."

He proceeded forward and found himself moved by the crowd into a line where they apparently waited to get their meal. Anubis hummed to himself as he stood and waited, taking in the sights about him. This most certainly was an interesting place, though he needed to find a way home as soon as possible. The line inched forward bit by bit and just when it was about his turn to take on of the strange trays upon which his sustenance would allegedly be heaped, a stern voice called out to him from across the room.

"HEY! You can't have that uhh.... dog? Yeah, that DOG in here! You'll have to leave, sir." Anubis looked around to see a grumpy looking elderly man, in a uniform of some type, glowering at him. He had a small badge pinned to his shirt and a black tie to match his shiny black shoes.

"Excuse me, old one, I did not know. However I feel I must tell you that this 'dog', as you say, will be better off if she stays with me. Perhaps I can merely get my meal and then leave as you suggested?" Anubis said calmly in a deep and cultured, though obviously foreign, voice.
