Amariah did as she was bid, gently tapping against the lizard's flank and grimacing as the animal slipped forward over the sand. She gripped the reins, eyes forward, watching Sidney's swaying back as the caravan made their way out into the desert.
She still wasn't sure why Hannibal wanted her to go on this thing, but she didn't argue it. The whole time she looked around, memorizing what she could for future reference. Who knew? Perhaps it might help.
