Edgar whirred through the forest canopy haplessly. The robot's cloak was clinging to the joints of branches he passed and he was beginning to suspect that some of the trees had actually been grabbing at him. "Say... Say, watch it, wise guy." He spun around in the air, throwing the beam of his flashlight onto the warped 'face' of a tree. It didn't seem to be animate, and the pixelated eyes of his small display narrowed uneasily. "Well... You don't say," His gaze darted from the trees around him. He wasn't on any discernible path, which was common enough for him. Without any legged companions, he saw no reason to limit his ventures to well-blazed trails.

Now he was lost with only himself to blame. EDG-R of course didn't blame himself. At the moment he was more angry at the tape recorder he had chased in here. "Regular Houdini, that wet tomato..." The robot's voice was bitter and almost cautiously low. He didn't need any of the unnecessary risk of his usually boisterous attitude, not without a companion better versed in combat. "Might need to get someone on the horn to come and dig me outta this trench," He was hovering just a few feet above the ground now, scanning the branches above for anything suspect. Who could he call? What adventurers had he joined in the past that he hadn't driven away from himself entirely? Not many.
