Karu smelled his scent before he reached her. "How are you doing, Karu?" Alexander said. "Could be better... Trying to cope with the loss of your friend is pretty hard though." She sighed, not bearing to look at him for risk of crying in front of him. Her voice was threatening to choke and she didn't know how much longer until she gave up and cried. She watched as Alex threw a rock over the edge, it bounced down the steep hill and finally made its home at the bottom. "I can't help but think we need to... do something about this. I don't know if war would be quite right, but we should at least attack them, right? I would be ready to charge in to battle now if the order was given." Alex said.

She nodded. "Maybe.... But would you want to stoop to their levels? Be as low as them? I mean yes I was ready for a fight earlier.... But is it really a good idea?" She said, lounging in the snow now, not caring about the cold and wet snow on her skin. "If we attack... They will attack and who knows how many more lives will be lost. Karu sat up now, her back facing the view. She looked at Alex. He was a year older and pretty mature. He was also kind of cute but Karu would never admit that... Karu watched as he glanced at the view. It was wintertime but it looked so peaceful below with the snow atop the trees. Karu crawled over and sat next to him... She could never sit still, needed to keep moving.

"It's beautiful, isn't it Karu? I've never quite seen such a view." Alex said. Karu nodded in agreement. Karu felt him place his hand on her arm. She looked at him, confused. What? "Well, it's not quite as beautiful as you are..." Alex said. Karu blushed. "You always were a flirt... You always know the right things to say..." Karu smiled at Alex, resting her head on his shoulder. "I hope everything will be okay... I couldn't bear the thought of losing anybody in the pack... I can't stand another tragedy." Karu sighed softly, enjoying the view for now. Then thoughts invaded her mind. It was Heaven. I got dinner! Karu's ears perked up. She shifted to her wolf form and nuzzled Alex. C'mon Dinner, She said telepathically and she raced off.
