"You act like a child at times Alys, with your grumpy face and pouting," he told her. He opened an eye to look at her then he closed it again.
"The women...they annoy me to no end. I have to be extra nice and charming at the parties. I have to keep myself from hurting them or their feelings when they get too bold. I also have to deal with them in town. If most of them did not speak to me, I would be fine," he told her.
He shrugged his shoulders when she said he won. Blake wasn't one to care if he won a game or not. It was just a game after all. When he heard the door open, he opened his eyes and looked back. It was Cain. He turned around to face him. Blake smiled at the king. He listened to him silently as he spoke.
"It would be our pleasure your majesty," he stated. He watched as the king headed towards the great hall. Blake stilled watched a few seconds after the king was out of sight. A few seconds later, he finally turned to look at Alys. He formed eye contact with her.
"I say we get the leaves first and then hand out the invitations. I'd rater not deal with anyone but you at the moment. A few more moments of peace would also be nice. Though, doing the annoying part first and then having peace would be okay too. It doesn't really matter to me," he paused, "What do you think Alys?"
Blake yawned and slid his hands into his pockets. His eyes wandered over to the empty bird nest. Then he looked at the dead birds.
