"Well." Cole began, He glanced around and saw the group of boys that she had just been looking at and raised a brow at them. He wondered what that had been about but pushed the thought aside and looked back at her. He lifted a hand "I have three rules" he held up three corresponding fingers and then let one drop immediately "One, I need to know where you are at all times. I need to protect you and thus I need to know where you are." He paused to let the first rule sink in and then let another finger drop. "Two, I need complete honesty from you, if you see a nightmare or something that bothers you then you need to tell me so I can take care of it. I don't need some brave soldier act, and lastly three: I need you to trust me. I may do things sometimes that confuse you but I need you to have a little faith in me in my abilities."
He let his last finger drop and gave her a stern look "These are my conditions. Do you accept?" He held out his calloused hand towards her offering to shake on his terms.
Cole had never protected anyone before and he was a bit nervous about this. The terms he had made were in order to give him some piece of mind.
