It had been a small while since Ornin had come to Miserta Kara. Jaroo had made sure to pay for a particularly high-roofed house for the Monk. He also paid for several people to keep an eye on him. As much as Jaroo was fond of his large, powerful "friend," he never could trust anyone entirely.

They had taught him of all Misrana's technology, of the war, of their leader, Dasaliz Rauta. They had taught him of Miserta's customs, and toured him around a bit. They still had not brought him to the forest, however.

Josai went by that day, knocking on the doors to Ornin's temporary living space.
