"Princess, you're pushing my buttons a bit too much for so early in the morning." she heard Jack threaten her as she took another drag from her cigarette, his words didnât even phase her. If fact sheâd pretended he hadnât said anything.
Her and Jack had, had a rocky relationship to put it lightly. When they werenât shooting up and having sex, they were beating the shit out of each other. Jack could tell you first hand, Veronica never back down from a fight and she could hold her own against the toughest guys. But, for some reason, that Ronnie didnât understand, when it came to her father, he was the only man alive who scared her and who she never tried fighting back against.
"Is that so? Well..guess that means you'd better have your ass out there tonight. And I expect you to win. I'd hate for you to disappoint me, Princess. You know that I don't do well with disappointment. Jimmy, I want you there too. You should be able to get rid of quite a bit of merch. We'll make a killing." He said, referring to her telling him about the race.
She rolled her eyes, she had a reputation in the street racing world. Her gang world was a whole separate world. Everyone knew she was in the underground street racing world. She was one of the only girls who raced and the only girl in a four hundred mile radius that actually made the guys worry, because she was good. She was just as wild and reckless as the guys who raced.
"Fine. But don't expect me to be her sitter. I've got my own shit to take care of." Caden said causing her to turn her gaze to him and let out a scoff as if she really need a babysitter, she rolled her eyes deciding to keep her mouth shut and take a swig from the bottle.
"We're all in this togetherâŠyou'll take care of her because Pretty Boy is going to be helping me with something." Ronnie could help bet let out a small victorious laugh at that, the fact that no matter what Jack was pretty much going to make him her body guard for the night.
Normally her and Vince were never apart and whenever she raced, he always went with her and followed her like a body guard, not that she really needed it, but no matter how tough Ronnie was, she was still an attractive girl and the people they dealt with were shady, even Veronica knew it wasnât smart going to those things alone. Her cousin and his gang was normally there, but they were always so busy dealing with bets and checking out cars. Not to mention Jack insisted someone constantly be with her when he couldnât, it was kind of irritating now that she thought of it.
"I'll meet you there, then. she heard Cadenâs voice and it pulled her from her thoughts and just by the tone of his voice she could tell he was going to say something that would piss her off to no end. And you'd better not be late. Got it? I'd hate for something terrible to happen to your pretty face, bitch." She raised a brow hopping down from the counter and she could feel Jack and Vinceâs eyes on her, because they knew she was going to do something.
The best way to describe Baby, would be a wild, unpredictable time bomb and Jimmy was always setting her off. Thought she would never admit it out loud, she kind of liked fighting with her, because unlike other guys, he actually wasnât intimidated by her and he was the only one save for Jay and Pretty Boy that taunted and challenged her.
She walked across the small room crossing her arms as she stopping in front of Caden, looking down at him, the coffee table to only thing separating them. His eyes still not looking at her and that pissed her off even more, she was surprised Vince and Jack hadnât gotten up to try and stop her from whatever she was about to do.
âThatâs so sweet of you Jimmy.â Her voice was cotton candy sweet, which was rather odd to hear coming from Baby. She smiled sweetly as if sheâd really taken his words as a compliment. âYou think I have a pretty face.â
She reached down grabbing his cup of alcohol that was still sitting on the table and Vincent obviously knew what she was about to do and she watched him jump up from the couch quickly, but he wasnât quick enough. With a quick movement of her wrist, the contents of the glass was covering Caden, soaking him in Vodka.
âWhoâs the bitch now.â She taunted, smirking satisfied with herself, but her satisfaction was short lived when she felt Vincentâs arm wrap around her waist tightly.
She braced herself already knowing what was coming, like clockwork. She knew Vince was going to put her in her place. He slammed her back into the wall so hard she knew itâs leave a bruise along her spine. Vince glared at her, but she kept her eyes on Caden. Her back was throbbing in pain, but she ignored it.
âYou wanna tell me what the fuck your problem is Ronnie.â He spat harshly in a low ordering tone. âAre you trying to get yourself killed, because at this point, if Jack doesnât kill you Iâm liable to, you out of control.â She finally pulled her eyes from Jimmy to look at her brother.
Baby shoved Pretty boy off of her as hard as she could, slipping out of his grip. âMy problem is that ass hole.â She sad raising her voice, looking from Vince to Caden. âYou think youâre so much better than me, because youâre up Jackâs ass and you and my brother are best friends?â she scoffed, letting her eyes look over him, disgusted with him. âYouâre a fucking poser. No one likes you JimmyâŠwhy donât you do us all a favor and kill yourself.â She spat harshly and she could see Vince coming at her again, but before he could grab her she stopped him.
âFuck of Vinny. You three deserve each other.â She said turning her back to them as she headed towards her room. Vincent closed his eyes sighing, when Ronnie really lost it no one, not even Vinny could calm her down, he glanced to the guys.
âSorry.â Was all he could manage.
