Summer twiddled his thumbs as he sat on the hot sand of the beach. His eyes sped from side to side as people walked past the two twins sitting on the beach, both so similar yet so different at the same time. Unconsciously, Summer raised the temperature around himself as boredom started to seep into his mind. He wanted fun- but the two twins had agreed that they should take a break after Nadia. This did not help Summer's mood at all. "Hey, May. I am bored." Summer mumbled, a slight frown on his face as he grabbed a fist of sand and tossed it away.

A soft puff of air escaped her lips as she sat on the warm sand, burning to her touch. If it weren't for Summer, she would have rather left the world in an eternal winter, but... We can't all get what we want. The cold air radiated around her, cooling down her temperature as the warm sea breeze blew around them. This was definitely a rare moment of peace for the twins. "You're the one that burned her," May said this without a hint of guilt, as if she took no part within the little prank the twins did on the voodoo witch. Her eyes flitted toward the sand her brother tossed aside, a smile forming on her lips at his impatience. "Hey!" Summer pouted slightly, looking at his sister. "It was your idea as well! Do not push all the blame on me, May!" He also smiled slightly, countering the sudden flush of cold air that surrounded the two. Stop that, May! You know I don't like the cold. He continued to raise the temperature slightly, his eyes taunting his sister to counter his heat.

Her eyes narrowed in the face of the challenge, a small mischievous look forming in her eyes. "Was not." Her voice signalled the end of the argument, but she didn't back down from his challenge. Her small hands tightened suddenly as the heat triggered her annoyance, her icy gaze turning to him. Though the cold bothers you Summer... That grin returned to her lips at the thought, "The cold never bothered me anyways." And with that, frost began expanding under her dress, covering the sand as the temperature lowered to an all-time-low.

Summer shivered as the cold air crawled up his bare torso, though he had prepared earlier for the onslaught he knew May would unleash against his heat. "You are right, May- the cold has constantly been a bother for me!" He returned his attention once more to raising the temperature around him and his sister- as opposed to shivering and trying to warm himself up- until it was sweltering hot around the two. His grin was once again back in place as he got up and sped away from his sister, wincing as the sand burned on the soles of his feet, and into the broad blue ocean that crashed against shore. "Summer!" It is not often that you hear May yell, but her high voice rang throughout the beach like the shards of ice. Without a hint of hesitation, she raced after her brother, the blue dress fluttering behind her as beads of perspiration formed on her forehead at the sweltering heat that seemed to taunt her just like her brother.

Her feet entered the water that was warm to her touch. A wave of her hand and the beads of water from the sea splattered onto the sand. However, before they managed to land, the water beads immediately morphed water vapor, then to crystallized beads of ice. Another wave of her hand, and the freezing crystals were aimed straight for her brother's chest. Summer couldn't help but laugh as he turned around, his eyes wild with glee as he stared at his sister. "Oh, come on, May." He joked, coddling her as he unintentionally manipulated her feelings, bolstering happiness within his twin sister. "It was a joke!" Though the shards of ice directed towards his chest looked deadly, there was no sense of danger within Summer's heart. He knew that May would not harm him- not even if he did the worst thing on Earth. But then again, he thought, grinning at May, You would just help me carry out any diabolical plan, wouldn't you? As Summer continued laughing and splashing around in the water, his eyes turned to focus on a figure in the distance, laying in the sand. He stopped moving, and the smile that was on his face turned from innocent to devious. May- Skye.

The Spring Faerie? Again? May's eyes flitted toward the figure to her right, her eyebrows cocked slightly at her brother's suggestion. "You know my response to that, Summer." It was as if she had forgotten all about the pitiable argument the two were just having, a wave of happiness attempting to penetrate her cold facade. Nevertheless, that mischievous look returned to her eyes as the shards of ice also turned its course, now pointing at the spring faerie. Perhaps it was that their seasons collided, but May definitely hated Skye with a passion. The shards of ice glistened under the sun, the heat of the summer having no effect on the frozen pieces. How would you like her? Cryogenically frozen or ready-to-defrost? Summer chuckled as he held out a hand to block May from walking towards Sky. You had your turn last time- my turn this time. Raising his hands to his mouth, Summer let out a high-pitched whistle, surveying the sky above the two twins.

Birds suddenly burst out of the tree canopy around the village; seagulls circling the beach flew towards Summer, squawking loudly as more joined in the large mass of birds. I think this will be a rather nice addition to our gallery of 'Pranks On Skye', don't you think? With another sharp whistle, a comparably large seagull flew down and landed on Summer's outstretched hand, it's eyes glimmering with a sort of understanding gleam. "See that lady over there?" Summer whispered at the seagull as he stroked it's head feathers, a dark gloom over his smiling face. "I will command you..." The rest of what Summer said was lost to the sound of crashing waves and fluttering wings. However, it was obvious that the seagull understood what Summer wanted; the faerie nodded at the seagull as it squawked back, unfurling it's wings and taking once more into the sky. Summer watched as it circled in the sky, squawking at the other gathered birds as if giving them orders, before the seagull suddenly banked and flew straight and fast towards Skye, the rest of the brood following it in a clear, single-line formation.

As the birds arrived above Skye, the dark look on Summer's face lifted to reveal an extremely devious grin. He turned to look at May just as he heard the first splatter hit the floor. "It's really convenient how birds can release their bowels on command. Appreciate my personal bird battalion, May?"His words earned him a smack on the head as May shook her head at her brother. "Run, you idiot!" Perhaps they've gone a little too far this time, but even so, a hint of amusement was entwined within her voice as she pushed her brother on the back, the water splashing under their feet. What did I do wrong to have a brother like you? Her thoughts did not hold any hints of bitterness as her hand reached for Summer's. Summer rustled his hair with one hand as he grabbed onto May's cold hand with his other hand, laughter rippling through his chest and into the air as they ran fast away from the pungent smell that started to rise from the beach where he had ordered the birds to fly towards. Do not try to delude yourself, May. I was the best brother you could have ever gotten- and you are the best sister I could have ever gotten. He grinned as he sent the words to May, his voice ringing loud and clear in their minds as it melded with the sound of waves breaking on to the beach, and as loud as the rustle of wings that slowly receded from their ears.
