I thought about it for a second and responded, "no, I think that's it." The fact that he appeared to be going with me was a pleasant surprise. He didn't seem like the type to do these kinds of things.

"Pregnancy tests aren't as advanced as most people wish they were, but I guess they serve enough of a purpose. I'm guessing doctors don't want to be replaced that easily, after all," I mentioned thoughtfully. I blinked a few times as soon as I said that and realized that I was tired, which was unusual. Trying to wake myself up again, I stretched slightly.

My phone was still in my pocket, so I pulled it out and called the doctor's office. Making appointments didn't really take long, since that particular place was relatively empty due to the fact that it wasn't widely known. My mother had worked there once, but quit because she didn't like being idle for very long. It's something that seemed slightly more annoying as I grew out of my elementary school years: she always wanted to follow me everywhere, which was not okay after age 10.

"So, what's been going on with your band lately?" I asked, partially curious because he hadn't really said much about it lately, and partially because I was trying to make conversation to keep my mind occupied. Keeping my mind engaged usually worked when fighting off lethargy.
