"With all due respect, Sir, I've been through a lot in my short time in this world," she speaks in her signature monotone, the very emotionless voice her parents had raised her to use. ("Emotion is weakness," Lu had said impassively. "Avoid weakness at all costs, lest you fail each of your endevours.") "I am as physically fit as can be and can use next to any weaponry. While I am afraid I can say nothing in terms of steel girders, sensory, and the likes, I am willing to put forth as much effort as necessary to learn." She smiles an emotionless smile. "I don't easily give up, and enjoy a good challenge. Assuming I am told beforehand of any challenges." She glances down at the lion's paw around her neck as Maraka stroms toward Ryu.
Mai pays little attention to the interaction between the two men, though she can't help but be impressed when Ryu catched the blade between his fingers. After that, she glances toward the two women - one about her age, one certainly older. Mai offers an emotionless smile to the younger girl, a short nod to the elder as she steps back to join them. When Ryu turns and asks the question, she just shrugs to display concession, not wanting to waste a word.
