"Now, remember if at anytime you need to come home, just call me and I'll be up there as soon as I can. Mrs. Cartier said towards her daughter as the Cartier family exited the airport, luggage in hand as they started their walk towards their rental car with personal driver, complementary from Lacey's future school. It was surprising to her that they were okay with this summer camp idea, that they weren't forcing her to go to training, but her father/manger was a great persuader. As the family of five headed into the car, someone tapped on her shoulder. Lacey turned around to see a group of three there smiling at her. She didn't hear what they seeing that she had taking out her cochlear implant, so she wouldn't to answer a bunch of questions from people who knew who she was. She held up a finger, telling them one moment as she pulled her implant out of her bag and slipped it on. The young girl looked back at the group with a smile. "Sorry about that, what can I do for you?" She asked them before having a journal pushed in her direction as the young red headed girl named Star asked her to sign right next to her autograph of Micheal Phelps and a couple of other famous, or almost famous people from the Olympics. She then saw herself being pulled into a picture with the trio before them taking pictures of her and them separately.

"Excuse me, guys. But, we really must get going. C'mon, sweetie. We don't want you to be late." Her father said as he looked at the group with a kind smile before somewhat pushing the girl into the white Ranger Rover before telling the driver to start the drive to the camp. "'Ey, buddy. You know where you're heading right?" Alexander asked the driver before getting a nod and a 'yes sir' in respond. Mr. Cartier nodded once before turning back towards his family and putting up the screen divider as the family of five started talking about the plans for the summer.

They weren't far now, seeing that they weren't far behind the bus and a few other cars of people who didn't take the bus. She thought the bus was necessary but, then her mother told her how she called up the owner and said that she needed to drop Lacey off at the camp just to make sure everything was settled, as if the girl was a child instead a incoming college freshmen.

"Now, like your father said, if you need anything get a hold of us as soon as possible. Especially if the 'you-know what' starts spreading." Mrs. Cartier said to her daughter as she signed the words as well, seeing that Lacey didn't have her cochlear implant in at the moment, not that her mother seemed to noticed at the moment seeing that she was going on and on about what she wanted Lacey to do during the summer.

"Jesus, mom. You're making it sound like a rash or something. It's just a small word. Say it with me, cancer. If the cancer spreads. Besides didn't Uncle Jay say it shouldn't spread for a while?" Lacey said as she signed back the words as well. "Your uncle Jay also told you that cheerleading was a great sport. Obviously, the man doesn't really have a lot going on up there." The older man said as he pointed to his head as he signed towards their adoptive daughter. "Damn it Ella, she doesn't even have her thing it. Lace, c'mon, stop messing around." Her siblings just started to chuckle without lifting their eyes up from their phones. Lacey groaned before taking it out of her bag once more and slipping it on. "Sorry." Lacey said as she tried to hide the growing smile on her face. "Anyway, remember what we talked about. Trai..--"

"Train whenever I can, relax after training, don't get myself killed or injured especially my throwing arm, and don't do anything that will make you have to come up here and kick someone's ass." Her father high-fived his daughter as he spoke. "That's my girl. And, I talked to the school and they will contact me if they need anything and I'll write you a letter int order to get the information to you, okay?" Her family wasn't used to not being able to reach Lacey, she always had her phones on; professional and personal and she always had her computer or tablet with her at all times to make conference calls with her agent and with the reps from her future school. But, Lacey just shook the thought out of her head and smiled as she turned up the radio as one of her birth mom's songs started playing started. Alison started singing as their brother just looked up and opened the window and sunroof and started dancing in his seat along with his sisters. Their parents just rolled their eyes as they put in their soundproof earbuds and started making their business calls. And boy did those earbuds work, all anyone using them could hear is the other person, no matter what side of the conversation they were as if they were alone. Which Lacey turn it up even more. She loved listening to her mom and sure, her new album was a bit of a T.M.I. But, hey, she was a grown woman and people still loved it.

Within the next couple minutes, the driver stopped and got out of the car to help Lacey out. "Thank you sir." She said as he nodded towards her and waited for her parents to get out. When they did, her mother handed her the replacement cochlear implant just in case she misplaced the other one, again for the fourth time. Lace chuckled nervously as she took it and put it in her bag along with her other important things along with her phone just so she could play music. Her mother hugged her as did her father before saying goodbye and heading back into the car and driving off. Lace picked her two bags and put them on her shoulders before grabbing her last bag and rolling it behind her. As she looked around the camp, she could see a few people walking around but, she really wanted to set her stuff down before finding a group of guys to hang out with. She wasn't against the idea of being friends with girls but, most girls didn't like her or they did but, only because she was 'semi-famous'. Other than that, all her friends back home were guys, athletic guys to be even more specific.

But, at least she might make friends with her cabin mate. As she walked into her cabin, she could tell that her roommate already left, no surprise seeing that the Cartier rarely ran on time for anything but a game, tryout, or meetings...doing with sports, a game, or tryout Lacey had. The girl groaned as she set her stuff down on the floor as she grabbed out her sheets and started making herself at home. And with int five minutes everything was up, a picture of her and both of her families together on the night stand next to her, her Stanford bedspread was all nice and perfect along with her poster of the school with an Olympic poster right next to it matching her favorite pillow. She backed up and looked at her side of the room with a proud smile. "Perfect. Just one more thing." Lace said as she reached in the bag that held all of the stuff for her room and pulled out her 'I woke up like this' black and pick pillow and set it in the corner where the bed and wall met.

She put her clothes away but, left her Letterman jacket out, hanging it up in the middle of the two posters she had up. She grabbed her messager bag and jacket before heading out to explore the rest of the camp. It wasn't that bad, sure she had no contact with the outside world, but hey. Could be worst, she could back home with all the stress of school, fame, and her agent. She needed this time away from everything, beside who knows? Maybe it might be worth it. She slid on her sunglasses and started walking towards the mess hall, after asking one of the other campers what was going on.

As she walked in, she took a seat with nothing but a bowl of fruit in front of her as she sat away from a majority of the other campers. She reached in her bag to toss in her glasses and grab out her journal/planner that held everything in it; meetings, events, interviews, outing with friends {not much of that one}, and well, close to anything else you could name that someone might need to or want to remember.
