Olivia nodded her head at his words as her eyes continued to scan her surroundings. Everything was so absurd, yet it was all so real and convincing. This place wasn't like any kind of dream. She wondered why people were placed here, and then became even more confused when Thomas spoke about being over two hundred years old. How was that possible?
Was this some sort of mixture of a limbo and purgatory? After all, if he was over two hundred years old there was no way that he could return to his body even if he wanted to. She then wondered how Thomas had gotten here. Was everyone in a coma or some kind of medicine induced sleep? Or where some dead and some ended up here by accident? Olivia had too many questions to ask, but she didn't want to bombard him. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her scrubs and turned to face him.
"Over two hundred years old?" She mused on the thought, trying to find a a good way to discuss this. "Why have you been here this long? Isn't it temporary?" Now Olivia was making assumptions, but the optimistic side of her believed that she would wake up from her coma and continue living her life saving other lives. After all, if Olivia couldn't be a doctor in this dream land she really felt like she had no purpose.
