Wilhelm had finally ventured out from his smoky room for more than a few minutes by going in to read in the living room. Setting oneself on fire grows old after so long after all. He was reading The Two Towers by Tolkien in his native German language. He was laying back down on the couch with his knees up and the book in the air. He had been reading for an hour when he felt the cushions on the couch shift as another member of the haven sat down. He was going to ignore her when she began speaking. She asked how he was liking it so far. Wilhelm pulled himself up into a sitting position and looked over at her. She was a pretty lass, with blonde hair and hazel eyes that seemed to suck his gaze towards them. He flashed a smile, and said in a baritone with a heavy germanic accent, "I am liking it so far. The food is good. The privacy is good. And now I see that the girls are pretty too, if I be so bold to say Frauline. By the way, I am Wilhelm, but in English that would be William, if you so prefer." His dark brown eyes had lit up for the first time in a while. He felt a sudden heat, for his right hand had suddenly become wrapped in a sheathe of blue flame. He swore, and shook his hand. "Mein apologies Frauline. You bring memories back of a girl I once knew. A girl I can no longer see.."
