A sigh escaped me as I examined the boy, Ezra, over carefully. The kid is scrawny and full of himself. This is going to be a long journey. Another sigh came when Ezra spoke in that yuppie tone of his; he was just a product of his spoiled upbringing. So, I let the boy stew on his own words and the letter his father had sent to me. It was perfect timing, sending the message during breakfast when the two were forced to sit with one another. So I ate more of my meal knowing that in time there was to be little time for peace; Ezra was going to be a problem to watch over.
"Starting a fire, fresh water, how to make camp are all things you will need to learn. There will be more to it than that. For now... run along and enjoy your day. Training starts tomorrow."

and with that I stood and exited the cafeteria; I could feel the eyes of the other mercenary groups on my back.
