Sayuri stared at him with a blank expression. She felt confused as her thoughts were not being completely controlled by Zetsubo while his energy was being used elsewhere. She was so used to not having a voice that she'd kind of forgotten how to have one.
This boy.... What was he doing...?
Zetsubo growled as the damn little kid struck him in the back of the head. It hurt like hell, but didn't do much besides render him confused for a moment. "What the hell do you want with the girl?" He growled. "She's just a stupid mortal, and mine at that."
Sayuri tilted her head quizzically at the boy standing like a protective guard dog a few feet in front of her, wondering the same thing. Why was he even trying to protect her? What had she done for him? Sold him mochi?
