"Look Mommy, a flower." Arabelle smiled placing her hand on Damien's head seeing the flower sticking up out of the snow. "Its a winter bell little Prince. You don't find them very often." It had been a year since Richmond had left, Damien had turned two and was developing faster than most kids his age, he was talking well and was actually fairly smart, for a two year old that is.
Arabelle still seemed haunted by Richmond's presence, it was as if he had died but he didn't, every memory of every sweet moment they had before everything had happened usually brought her to tears, now it was just a dull ache in her heart, she still loved him, loved him with everything, and couldn't bring herself to hate him like so many expected her too. Damien gently took Arabelle's hand. "When is Daddy coming home Mommy?" Damien's beautiful blue eyes looked up into Arabelle's, he looked so much like Richmond. Arabelle picked him up fixing his cloak to keep him warm. "Soon Sweat heart." Damien nodded slightly resting his head on Arabelle's shoulder. "I miss him..." Arabelle gently kissed the boys head. "I miss him too..." Arabelle replied with a small sigh, continuing their afternoon stroll.
