"I've changed, Bella. I love you, I just.. didn't know what to do when you miscarried the baby, and I felt helpless. You think I'm not affected by everything's that happened?" He growled, and sighed heavily.
He went to the Throne room, and when he was called on for Damien, he went to his son's room. "Hey buddy.." Damien smiled, and they hugged. "Daddy.. why don't you stay home anymore?" Richie sighed. "Mommy doesn't want me around anymore, son." Damien frowned. "But she misses you." He shook his head. "No, she's just hurt." He took his son's hand, putting it on his heart. "We both are. Sometimes, Mommies and Daddies have to be apart for them to know how much they love each other. " Damien shook his head. "But.." Richmond kissed his head. "Go to sleep for me, okay? I'll be here in the morning, and I can take you out on the horse again." He smiled, and Damien nodded, curling into his pillow.
When the kid was asleep, Richmond went outside his room, and leaned against the hall wall, and fell to his knees, wondering what he was doing in his life. To leave such a son behind, because he was a coward, and he cried that night, hard.
