Placing his arms behind the back of his head, the boy stretched with a yawn walking with a bounce with each step over towards the deckhand just as the walking map crossed lucky charms man walked up behind him.The guy at the wheel was clearly nervous forehead splashed with rain, his eyes glazy but desperately shone out to assume sharpness.Taking one side of the wheel he exaggerated his hip motions and bumped the guy away causing him to stumble at the sudden motion of getting kicked off the wheel.
"Thanks mate I'll take it from here." The sailor went as one could say 'sailing'off. Although Jesper had said that he would take it from here, with both hands on the steering wheel he thought to himself 'it can't be that hard to steer a ship'. He steadied the wheel to keep it from spinning in all sorts of monstrous directions.
It was not hard to see why the mate had been so nervous about sailing. The waves grew larger and larger and one would think it was a whale trying to swallow the ship, especially a ship of this size. The wind was no better forcing the hands to burn as it attempted to push the steering wheel into oblivion.
"Catch a hussy and call her a man! I'm a natural at this Scratch. I knew those long days chatting up the ship handlers came in handy. Aaah-I remember-" the monkey raised it's tiny fuzzy arm out proceeding to slap the boy forced Jesper to shut his mouth with a childish grin. "Ye're highness I'll pay more attention now," he chuckled looking straight. There were many times where the young lad thought that he was a goner and this was probably one of those times,he was so used to it by now that it was like feeding Scratch bananas. Sure his heart beat like a horse hooves clattering against the cobblestone but his mind was at ease swallowing what would be a memory once they got past the storm.
"I should steer the ship instead of manning the guns! Haha,"he laughed to himself just as a mighty wave landed on the ship. "Blimey!" The boy lost his grip for a second. No man overboard yet at least.
