Anna met Horatio's smile with a tight grin of her own. Finally, they had a definite target. They could end Red Road's troubles permanently. "Sheriff, gather every stout hearted man and woman in town. We need the posse ready to ride out as soon as possible."

She then looked back to Samuel. "You did the right thing, Brother. We will be able to deliver the Lord's justice and rescue those children, all because of you."

The question that remained was how they would approach the fort. The posse would provide manpower, but they were still only townsfolk. Against a fortified position like a military fort, the monsters inside could easily cut down any attacking force. "How many men did you see there, Brother? What sort of armaments did they have? What sort of state was the fort in?"

Pausing, Anna glanced over to Horatio. "We could possibly have the sheriff and the posse wait a short distance away while we scale the walls of the fort under the cover of night. If we deal with enough of the men inside and then to open the gates, we can then send a signal for them to ride in and deal with anyone that remains."
