She slowly took a step to the chair as she spoke, "I'm just going to sit down," she stated as she sat down in the chair and began to speak once more. "If you don't want to say anything, it's fine, I understand. Sometimes it takes a while for people to warm up to strangers. I promise that anything you say to me won't leave this room unless it would be helpful to find the man who did this to you," she was then interrupted by a woman bringing in his meal.
"Sorry to interrupt Doctor, but he needs his meal," the woman stated as she stepped into the room. Dr. Carson nodded her head in approval and took the tray from her and sat it down on the table beside his bed. "Thank you," she stated before watching the female step out of the room and close the door behind her.
Dr. Carson returned her attention to the boy and glanced over at his food tray. "That's for you, you can eat as much as you want." She then went silent for a couple moments, just letting him take in everything that has been going on within the pass couple minutes.
Finally Dr. Carson spoke up one more time. "Could you tell me your name?" she questioned. Even though she already knew what his name was, this was always a good question to ask just to see if her patients were making any kind of progress.
