The trip was pleasantly quiet, albeit slow for him. The dragonoid was irritatingly chatty until some news came up which thankfully silenced him. Playing the slave was not his usual style but luckily the trader was the main focus of conversation, not him. He wouldn't of found any issue fooling the crusaders were he on his own but his means were a solo act, not designed to accommodate company.

All in all however it was an uneventful trip. He had plenty of time to read in private, perhaps too much time for his tastes. The time they wasted eating and tending to other needless physical limitations ate up time that could of been used traveling. Hardly the most efficient crew he's had the fun of working with.

Eventually they did get to their first destination, the cat girl's home world it seemed. Amusingly Valen scurried off only for her to appear ahead of them, just as expected. She even had similar shakes to Valen for that matter. It was fairly evident at this point that she was likely a shape shifter of some type. This strange game of hers had yet to yield a point for happening however.

What was interesting were the details regarding both the beasts and the air of the world they were stepping into. The creatures sounded interesting though if the cat girl were able to cow these beasts then he figured they couldn't be all too dangerous. Despite all her feats thus far she had yet to demonstrate any skills or abilities that would command his respect.

The lighthouse led up to the chasm into the next world. Writings from the crusaders littered the passageway to the entrance, prayers and warnings for those seeking the goddess. Whilst the others were talking he figured he'd throw in some messages of his own. Pleasant little words to zealots seeking the love of their hateful goddess.

Blood magic runes enchanted to afflict those who read them.

The enchantments on the various runes he left about had a variety of effects. Some of them would rob a person of their senses, panicking them while removing their ability to distinguish friend from foe. Some of the runes would infect the reader with a lovely flesh eating disease which held the wonderful benefit of being contagious, carried on the breath of the infected. Some of these runes would slow the reader's blood to a still, stopping their heart dead. The remaining runes would simply strip the reader of their magical enchantments. There was one rune marked at the space closest to the light house's door, a rune designed to explode with a blast of dark magical force when the presence of holy magic approached directly under it. That rune was a little something in case the crusaders were cheeky enough to try and bring a healer, someone who would ruin the fun of the other runes he left.

Of course taking the time to leave these presents for anyone to discover to their misfortune meant that he was a bit behind as they started into the chasm. He wasn't all too broken up about them getting a head start since it meant he was alone as he worked, meaning only he knew that traps were laid there. He took off with a quick leap into the portal, his personal magic rendered inert for the period of his fall.

Upon leaving the chasm he flew at full momentum, crashing into the same tree that Alexia hit with a loud crack. He peeled himself out from the bark, falling to his feet upon the overgrown stone floor. Since his magic reignited immediately upon leaving the chasm his body wasn't so much as even bruised in all but a couple of spots. It seemed all it did was break his nose as a trickle of blood started down the top of his lip. As the crimson essence of life threatened to fall from his chin in drops that were starting to form the blood started running back up into his nose, flowing back into him while leaving not even so much as a stain.

With a soft crack he straightened his broken nose back out as the blood seeped back into him. With a mere whisper his body healed what little damage he suffered completely.

He looked over as Alexia greeted them, glowing blue and seemingly relieved of all the stress she had seemingly built up. All in all a good majority of Alexia's mysteries seemed to be a simple case of putting two and two together as he was fairly keen to deduce that the water she was standing in was the substance she craved this whole time. Overall it seemed there was little in this trip that was going to challenge his mind. If it kept up like so the book was going to be in his hands in no time.

"I must ask, does the air discriminate between creatures of this land and outsiders when flight is concerned?" He asked her, his mind cooking up potential ways to twist the laws of the land to his benefit. He was curious as to the beasts of this land and the properties of their blood. Finding a quick and easy way to extract that blood would allow him to store it away for study later so that he might draw upon their power or possibly find other interesting uses for it.

Plus it was oh so fun when he could mix work and play.
