Alexia just watched as the others excluding Holo started off towards the remains of a battle. Alexia looked over towards Holo. “Stay here and keep the raft close. Keep it towards the middle of the stream and you should be fine. If something does show up, use the pistol looking thing beside the console. It's a magi-flare designed to disrupt gravity as well as give off a lot of noise and light. Make sure not to let the flare hit the raft, it about quadruples the pull of gravity in any given spot and will sink the ship.” She explained, Holo just looking to the small console.
“And how do I operate this thing?” She asked.
“Easily enough. It's just a rotational motor column that controls a twin propellor system set between magical barrels. The wheel determines direction, the lever controls speed, and three switches control the anchor. This one raises it, this one lowers it, and this one makes it deploy a few extra spikes if it can’t catch anything easily.” Alexia stated.
“I see… very simple.” Holo stated.
“Simple is best.” Alexia stated before hopping off the boat and onto the jungle floor once again, her quiver hidden underneath her dead coat ejecting a singular sphere. She could smell the blood in the air from Red’s work and now had to wonder how that might affect the creatures of the jungle. It was technically the spilling of blood after all, but Alexia had never seen how the creatures of her homeworld interacted with blood mages before.
In any event, she could see and hear the others moving, quickly following along now as she wanted to make sure that these crusaders were kept alive, if any of them still were at least. As she moved though, she jumped up into the trees and jumped from tree to tree to get ahead of the others, or at least fully catch up as she grabbed onto one of the trees for a few to look around as best she could, see the body of an insectoid scarab beast on the ground, along with a bipedal insectoid. “That explains the lack of blood lust right now… Insectoids don’t really have blood…” Alexia said more to herself than anyone else, only to spot movement down below towards a small cave. She just dropped down, her and Red the closest for now, and Sam wasn’t far behind, Ravyn bringing up the rear for now as she moved towards the cave.
As she moved closer though, she caught a glimpse of something else, the glimmer of something using magic to hide from sight, Alexia looking over the place slowly, and quickly finding another bipedal insectoid using magic to try and hide, only it didn’t do it a lot of good. As it prepared to jump at Alexia though, she just pinned its head to the tree with her spear before ejecting another spear to use before turning back to the cave, only to hear another shot, feeling a tiny sting as her turned and looked at her side, at her coat, the small caliber round just sitting on the floor, not even leaving a mark on her coat as she turned to face the cave, three crusader’s hidden away in it, only one standing, and holding a pistol.
“Now that just makes me angry.” Alexia hissed turning, showing off her form if just a bit to get the point across about who she might be, but more importantly, distracting them for others to capture under her direct super vision now.
