Jayson was already perched at a table outside of the cafe underneath an umbrella as he did not know what to think right about now. His emotions were running rampant and he couldn't really be angry at Chantal for not wanting him and Madison to break up because his relationship with her was so freaking cute that they could've been high school sweethearts, if she never would have broken up with him. Jayson was wrong to confront Jaxon and even punch him in the face about something that happened ten years ago and that was beyond his control but at least he apologized for that and they are on much better terms now. At least, he hoped that they were. His mind was dead set on making things right with Chantal right now but he did not know what he was going to say whenever she was going to be face to face with him. When his phone chimed, he saw the text from Chantal that she was on her way but did not bother to reply, just to mess with her mind a little bit. Jayson smirked softly and wondered to himself what Jaxon and Noah was doing right now and how they felt about the way things went down last night.
It only took Chantal about fifteen minutes to reach Regal's, where she sat down in the parking lot for a moment and waited as her eyes saw Jayson sitting outside at a table. She did not know what to think right about now but she did get out of her vehicle, locking it with a simple click of a button then went inside to walk through the cafe before she reached the outside and stood above Jayson now before she sat at the table in the chair across from him. "Hey." Chantal spoke in a soft tone as Jayson threw up a wave then raised a brow towards her, which made her even more nervous that he wasn't saying anything towards her right. "Look, about last night..." She started to say but a waitress came out there to greet them and asked them if they needed anything. "Glass of water, please and some french fries with a side of spicy ketchup." Jayson replied to the waitress, who then turned her gaze towards Chantal. "I'm fine. Thanks though." The waitress nodded her head with a smile then walked away as Jayson watched then turned back to face Chantal, who was about to speak again but was interrupted by Jayson.
"Last night happened and it's in the past but I am more concerned about what Jaxon said and you admitting to." Jayson said as Chantal had mustered out a sigh over her parted lips. "I really wanted to tell you, Jayson but Madison was my best friend and there was a girl code to abide by." Chantal muttered as Jayson waved his hand towards her. "I don't want to hear that bullshit, Chantal. I really don't. I want to know how can you know something for so freaking long, see me emotionally detach myself from everyone whenever she broke up with me and still not say anything." Jayson responded towards Chantal, who was just about done with this conversation already as she stood up while muttering. "I don't have time for this." She mentioned towards him as he stood up, too. "You're no longer that high school Chantal that just walk away and have your little minions get you out of this one, Chantal. So, you're going to sit down and we're going to discuss this matter like the adults we are." Jayson scorned towards her as she sighed then sat back down and he eventually followed suit.
The waitress came back out with Jayson's order as he thanked her while she told him to enjoy his fries. He reached for a fry and dipped in his spicy ketchup then tossed it in his mouth. "I'm not mad at you, Chantal but you shouldn't walk away from every situation in your life. I'm not even mad at Madison for what she did because she felt guilty and broke up with me because of it. I just wished that you, my friend, would have told me something instead of having me walk away the whole entire school looking stupid and dumbfounded." Jayson muttered after swallowing the first fry that had entered his mouth then eyed Chantal, who had her eyes fixated on the concrete floor beneath them. She really did not have anything to say at this point other than she was sorry for not telling him about Madison and the other guys ten years ago but she knew that he would not accept that and that he needed something a bit more than an apology.
"Jayson, I am truly sorry but there were nights that I wanted to tell you but at the time, Madison had a pregnancy scare so I kept quiet to avoid you from getting hurt. That was when Madison broke up with you, something that I did not think that she would do so..." She shrugged her shoulders after speaking those words then leaned back in her chair a little bit. "Sorry, I sincerely am." Jayson ate a few more fries while Chantal spoke then her say that she was sorry twice. His emotions were running rampant again as he smiled towards Chantal, who bit her bottom lip nervously now then nodded his head. "I'll accept your apology but only if you promise me that there are no more secrets between us." Jayson said as Chantal held her hands up now. "I promise that there are no more secrets between us." Chantal responded towards Jayson as he gave her a thumbs up now. Chantal reached for a fry but Jayson slapped her hand away and she scoffed at his action. "You better go in and order your own." Jayson said with a laugh as Chantal stood up but before she could walk away, Jayson stopped her with a question.
"Are you going to the Goodbye Bonfire tonight?" Jayson asked as Chantal shrugged her shoulders then sent a wink towards Jayson as she replied. "I'll let you know, stud." And with that, Chantal walked away but not really ordering those fries but loving the feel of relieved air surrounding her as she went back towards her car now.
