"Don't you go dying on me, now," she told him, her voice only half-joking. "It'd be unfair that all the men in my life should die. I'd have to start dating women if that were the case, and that doesn't seem very appealing to me." She hated the idea that there were dangerous people on the island who might have it out for Quentin. He was a good man, and she couldn't stand the thought of anything happening to him because of it.
