Of course Ra's had made sure they received the best transportation. It had to be befitting of his most successful creations. They'd first taken a private jet. Though now they were traveling via limousine with members of The League following behind with their personal items. Their father followed in one of the cars. Rose had been insistent on him not joining them. Not at all surprising consider their disdain for each other after he'd been the one to torture her children. Her children. Whom she was choosing now to keep safe after all these years. Better late than never.
Roman sat beside his mother in silence. They'd already run through enough topics not warrant anymore conversation. So now he simply sat their poised looking across at his twin sister, Kezia, who laid sprawled over the seat with crayons in hand. She'd spent most of the trip being a bit of a nuisance. Talking off everyone's ear about anything and everything that seemed to get her excited. It lasted until she began begging for a coloring book that had a unicorn plastered across its cover. Slade Wilson, who could never deny his favorite grandchild, quickly caved and bought it for her with a box of crayons. Just like that, the world's most notorious killer was rendered helpless by the will of a little girl.
One good thing did come of that purchase: Kezia was mostly silent during the rest of the trip. All of her attention was panned towards creating the perfect color schemes while burning through the cassettes in her Walkman. Another gift from Slade. Most of her possessions were either gifts from Slade, Ra's, Talia, or their father. She seemed to have a certain knack for getting grown men and women to cater to her childish desires.
Roman couldn't contain the smile that crept onto him as he watched his sister in silence. She was muttering along to her song. Every so often she'd take a break from her masterpiece to play air drums or guitar. In those moments, Roman would let out a soft chuckle. He couldn't help himself from enjoying moments like this. Kezia may be a borderline psychopathic killer... But you would never guess it upon first glance. She simply didn't understand things the way that he did and who could really blame her? They went through a lot. They just happened to deal with it in very different ways. Roman just happened to choose to grow up and be in touch with his emotions while Kezia chose another path. An easier path. He may not agree with this or her thirst for blood, but he loves her dearly. Especially in simple moments like this. No contracts, diplomatic events, or 'training'. Just simple semi-normal family moments to be shared between brother and sister.
Kezia suddenly perked up to a seated position. She clapped her hands and giggled with excitement before ripping the page out of her book. She practically hurled herself over to Roman to show him what she did. She couldn't stop bouncing in the seat while Roman looked over what she accomplished. He was shocked. Kezia someone managed to color within the lines in a moving limo and all of her combinations even followed color theory. When did she even learn to do that?
"Misha, tell me what you think. Is it pretty?" She asked him in Russian.
"It's beautiful, Sashenka."
"Can we hang it up in our new room?" Kezia's head tilted to the side like a puppy discovering a new sound. The same gesture Kezia used to get whatever she wanted.
"Of course! All works of art deserved to be hung up for all to see. Though that means we may also have to hang you up." He nudged her with his shoulder and she responded with another one of her childish laughter's as she clapped her hands together.
Rose Wilson was not as amused. "In English you two. We're here."
The atmosphere quickly changed as Roman quieted back down. They pulled up to the front of the building and piled out. Kezia immediately took off the second the door opened. She ran straight towards the various flowers decorating the outside. She picked several different flowers that totaled up to the exact number of students she was told attended. It was gonna be her little greeting present for everyone. She was very excited for the chance to get to pass them out and meet everyone. She was certain she would make tons of wonderful friends here and maybe even find new sparring partners.
Roman was the one to call back her attention as they followed their family inside. A staff member to the academy greeted them and lead them into the office of Bruce Wayne. Rose, Slade, and Roman took a seat. Kezia decided now was the time to dance around the room and explore everything she could get her hands on. Bruce, thankfully, ignored this as he addressed them. The conversation went on for awhile though the details aren't exactly important save for Rose nearly making her way over Bruce's death once he informed her of the events that took part at last night's gala.
Kezia didn't really pay attention until the name of Cassius Thompson was brought up as one of the students captured. She was surprised he managed to get taken with his powers. Nevertheless, she was sure to be seeing him soon even if that meant having to rescue the damsel in distress. After all, they did share a history and were rather good friends now despite Roman not exactly being his biggest fan. She wasn't going to stand for him not accompanying her here.
The twins were soon let out into the hallway. Bruce informed them that he first needed to meet with another student who was going to show them around. Kezia didn't listen to anything he had to say though as she took off yet again. She came barreling down the hallway just as a giant mass of muscle turned the corner. She leaped into the air and wrapped her arms and legs around his body in a tight embrace. "Uncle B! I've missed you!" It was Nathaniel Santos. A family friend and former student of The League.
