"All sorts of surprises today, but I think I'll survive." Gwen nodded, she was glad to hear it. "Didn't expect to see you back here today, Gwen."
"I'm glad you're surviving, I didn't exactly expect to be back today either." She looked around the medical wing, in her anger she'd missed Mycroft saying Ulrich's name, so she assumed he was somewhere else in the building.
"We're better den others..." Ross' voice pulled her back into the conversation.
"You might want to tell your face that, Panda eyes." She teased him, she knew it wouldn't do well to dwell on everyone's suffering so she turned to jokes and a bit of teasing.
"Let's get da fuck outta 'ere. I wanna drink 'til I'm pretteh again." Gwen watched as Ross pushed himself off the bed with some difficulty, she would have helped if it didn't hurt his pride to be helped off the bed and from the way he was with the nurses, she knew better than to worry after him. Gwen followed behind him, towards the exit, only for the trio to be stopped by one of the nurses.
"Mr. McCulloch, you really need to stay on bed rest and refrain from intoxication. Your body cannot handle that strain likeβ" Even Gwen could feel the awkwardness and it wasn't directed at her, but Ross wasn't one to leave that air hanging around for too long.
"Aye'll take meh chances," He groaned as he pushed past her, Gwen mouthed we'll look after him as she passed the nurse who simply nodded before returning to one of the other injured. As Gwen left the room, she noticed Ross turning on his heels, in the opposite direction of the lifts and making for the stairwell, she took a glance at the elevators and could only see Petra, causing her to knot her eyebrows at his disliking, maybe something happened before the dance, she made a note to ask him about it when he was feeling better.
"Seriously?" She moaned as she climbed the stairs behind him.

As Gwen slid her phone back into her jacket pocket, Ross had finally found somewhere to drink, the three of them perched themselves on some stools by the chosen bar. She watched as Ross downed the vodka straight, her face visibly disgusted, until she realised she was being that girl who sat with a glass of white wine, waiting for her boyfriend to text her back, occasionally stealing glances at her phone to see if the notification light was flashing.
"So, not that I expect either of you to want to talk about it," She said, mostly to Jensen, she could see Ross' attention was fairly focused on the bottle in front of him. "But what happened?"
