SEAN O'CALLAGHAN
#B54F23
Sean was currently hunkered down on a log, the only occupant of the small fire burning away in front of him. Just the way he preferred it. Despite what the scowl on his face depicted, Sean was actually in a pretty upbeat mood. Heād just started a new book, and had found a whole block of time to spend helping out in Genevieveās garden. That may not like sound much, but when youāre looking to avoid trouble, well, thereās not a lot of options for a good time.
I mean, heās already got the teacherās on his ass for attendance. Well, lack of attendance.
Speaking of trouble, Lucy, the blonde one that seemed to just appear at Brooklynās side one day, arrived at the fire next to Sean. A crowded fire where the girls had been laughing and the boys had been roughhousing with one of them only moments away from having the hem of his jeans catch fire. Then she ordered them gone.
Sean made a face to himself and downed the rest of his non-alcoholic punch, yeah, he arrived earlier enough to snag an unoccupied fire and before the punch got spiked. Luckily for the petite blonde, she hadnāt tried to order him off his fire. He doesnāt care much for being on the right side of popularity, and well, he doesnāt appreciate being told what to do.
Then without even thinking, Seanās eyes drifted back to the masses and landed almost instantly on the blonde head bobbing through the crowd. Of course Emerson was the first face he spotted, back when theyād dated he could never find her, and now, well, she seemed to be everywhere.
He smiled despite himself, of course Em was running late, he felt an urge to go over and ask what sheād been working on that had kept her busy. He could already hear the conversation in his head, her face would light up as she talked about gadgets and gears. Heād have no idea what she was saying, but she wouldnāt hold it against him. It would be easy.
He didnāt go over to her though. For better or worse heād broken up with her and he needed to live by that decision.
Forcing his eyes back to the fire, Sean settled in for a long night.
