Music wafted through the air of the store, a young man stood behind the register, picking his nails. It had been a slower day than normal, as he felt the vibrations of his phone moving through his pocket. His boss, Mr. Norman, was a pretty lenient dude. Which Kenta was thankful for, as long as he was attentive to the customers, he could do whatever he wanted in the downtime he'd have. Already having straightened up the vinyl and disc racks, with nobody being in the store at the moment, the Korean male took out his phone.
Mamacita to Mi Familia
Dinner's gonna b a lot of food, y'all can drop by ;D
A smile crossed the male's face, it was a friend, Dea! Seeing her message had made the male think of the events taking tomorrow. He was excited that they would all go to the festival tomorrow, having only been back in California for a few months. This was his first time going, and it was a music festival of all things. With friends of all things! He was also thankful, Mr. Norman had understood and told him he could go to it, and he'd have Sophitia come in and work front counter, with her being able to work weekends and not understanding why people wanted to go to such festivals. They were loud according to the younger female, and Kenta had just gotten more excited. He'd quickly type a response to the small group chat, as he saw Mr. Norman's car pull in.

"You ready to got Ken? I'll close up tonight, you have a long day to prepare tomorrow. Thanks though kid, see you Monday?", Mr. Norman's voice spoke out as Kenta looked up. A smile on his face. "Alright Mr. Norman! Thank you so much for letting me have off tomorrow too! I'll see you back here on Monday!," he spoke as he looked towards the older man. "I told you to call me Oliver, we're co-workers. Just because I hired you, doesn't mean you can't be my friend," the man spoke, as Kenta laughed a bit. He'd run to the back, and grab his phone charger, and the backpack he often carried his wallet and other things in. His sister had tried to edge him away from the design of it, but he liked it. You can't help what you like. As he didn't live too far from the apartments, he'd head out the door before waving towards the older man and beginning his walk towards the small buildings. As he had walked, the lingering thoughts of how he came here ran through his head. Why don't you just tell Omi? She's not gonna judge. Your parents are though, you didn't even tell the campus officers it wasn't yours. You're just the lesser version of Omi Kenta, he thought as he bit his lip. It helped stop the thoughts at times, he felt really bad for keeping such a secret from Naomi, but she'd probably be mad at him for ruining a chance to become what he wanted. No doubt though, he'd make it somehow.
About seven minutes had passed with the male walking, he'd reach the Red Building, as it was called. He'd trudge up the stairs, before reaching the apartment his sister, him, and another male shared. Before tossing his stuff to the floor and collapsing on the couch nearby.
