Fina struck first as she always did, fist out, blade spiraling through the air to slash at Black Jack. Vicious light in her eyes as the sun shone, the two androids fighting in hand to hand combat atop the construction crane. "Why are you here?" Io asked, jumping and delivering a spinning kick to knock Black Jack back as he tried to counter with a jab to the chest. "What is the North to you?" Black Jack grimaced as he fell back, almost stumbling down the crane. "Why do you want to know about me? My past is my own." But Io wanted to know because there was just something about him that was mysterious in a way she couldn't put a finger on. Something she needed to know, because they were fellow sufferers.
"Why are you trying so hard to live? Why won't you let me kill you?" Io asked, pouncing on her prey with a ferocity only she could accomplish, Fina couldn't fight like this. Black Jack bit on her face and kicked back, jumping backwards yet again. "We both want to die." He started, holding his injured arm with the vibroknife still stuck inside. "But I have a job I have to do." His eyes were steady and firm even without the mask to hide his emotions. "I have someone I have to protect." Still, there wouldn't be anyone to protect that someone anymore because Io could easily end him now, with his hurt arm he was vulnerable, one swift strike to the head and she could take out his core in an instant. From the look on his face, it seemed her opponent knew this too.
Io grinned, an odd feeling of power going through her. "Tell me who and I can protect them." Io snickered, only half meaning what she said. Black Jack gripped his arm tighter, taking a defensive pose. "I'm not dying here, Fina." Someone grabbed her from behind, twisting her wrists and pinning them down. Jarvis sneered with his victory, swooping in from behind. "We're teams of two, I wouldn't just let you off my partner like this." The household unit was not good at fighting. But he was very good at disabling someone from behind when they were distracted by something else. "Even now, Fina, you're quiet the idiot, aren't you?"
Jarvis held her down, and Black Jack's blade was ready to stab through and extract her core. Io grit her teeth, but she couldn't find a way out. "Io, Io please, I can't die here! I have to see Minnie again!" Fina was in a panic and it wasn't helping at all. "Any last words for Minnie, Fina?" Jarvis taunted, cruelty on his lips. "Please don't let her cry." Io let Fina take over, since she couldn't escape, there was no way left now. "Let her be happy, Jarvis." If only Minnie could always smile, then Fina would happily accept defeat.
