The loud noises around her made it difficult to tell whether or not Mr. Bubbles was nearby, so she made sure to keep from making any other noises. Holding her breath dramatically as a green light focused on her, skin glowing a sickly green from the light, she hoped he wouldn’t realize it was her and look somewhere else. But, as he held his hand out towards her, her hopes of him mistaking her for some kind of doll or a mirage were foiled instantly.
She still couldn’t help but smile in content, no matter whether she lost or not.
“Oh! You found me, Mr. Bubbles!” Anna announced giddily, her eyes shutting in amusement. Somehow, she felt a great satisfaction in being found, as it always led to hiding once again. She found herself giggling joyously at the idea, but knew better than to start a game so soon after ending one. Mr. Bubbles needed to recharge, after all, she didn’t want to tire him out too much, adults never had as much energy as little girls like her, apparently.
With that skittish smile, she took his offered hand wholeheartedly.
