"Yes." Jareth remarked without sensor when Eva asked if she was making things more difficult.

"Its rare, although not unheard of, for humans to cross into the Underground these days. Usually there has to be some kind of magical predisposition present either in the individual or within their family. Of course you might have genuinely activated some pre-existing portal to this world by accident as well." Jareth shrugged with his good shoulder. "Nevertheless, the point is that you're here now and since you did assist me out of the goodness of your heart, I suppose I owe you something in kind."

Although Jareth's tone was still rather cutting it didn't escape his notice that perhaps he'd do well to hold back his bad attitude a little more on her behalf. Eva had helped him after all and in spite of appearances Jareth did posses some amount of honor. Plus the woman seemed to be the more compassionate type and Jareth could tell he was making her uncomfortable and even, perhaps, a bit self conscious.

"If you wish, you can come with me. I promise that once I can get to a secure location, I will help you find a way home if you don't manage to figure out a way on your own. You didn't specifically ask to be brought to my Labyrinth and this is a dangerous time to be wondering about the underground in general. I think it would be wise to camp in the maze tonight and then head to the Enchanted Forest tomorrow. I have an acquaintance there who can help us.

"If we go this way a ways," Jareth referred to the spot he'd disappeared through. "There's a green lawn that should be safe enough to set up camp. Most of my goblins are guarding the castle but there's always the chance we might run into a Junk Person poking about where they shouldn't be or something worse."
