Jasen was smoking, singing along to a song that came on that was relatively decent, considering. He turned it up so that his voice wouldn't carry over the actual singer cause he knew he didn't have a singing voice, per say. Then forgot to turn it down as he kept driving. He swore he heard something from the girl but wasn't to sure about it, so he ignored the feeling happy to be on road back to civilization, cause well he wanted chow like a mad man. He heard a slight buzzing from the radio and went to go hit it again when, Boom, the damn thing exploded he thought, his arm instinctively raising to stop anything from hitting his face. The the truck froze up, without the thing running its brakes froze confused. It skid off track, Jasen fighting with the wheel to keep it steadier, and from smashing into any of the sides of the tunnel. After a moment of stunt driving, he coaxed the vehicle to a sideways stop, drifting it to slow it down to a stop. What the hell had just happened? The vehicle would need a looking at when he got back to HQ.

He looked to the back seat seeing an expression on Kat's face, a mixture of oops and innocence, as well as fear from the little scene a moment ago. "Was it you, little lady?" He asked as he tried to start the truck again, it didn't turn over. It had felt like a small emp went through the vehicle, but emps don't make radios explode. Frustrated he hit the steering wheel, he didn't want to have to call for a pick-up, Leon would be pissed enough that he broke a vehicle, the parts weren't easy to come by, and well he didn't know if the people from earth would send spare parts.

Jasen kicked the door open and got out of the vehicle, unlatching the hood latches and raising the hood to take a look. He set his weapon on the edge of the hood so that he could reach it if needed. "You can get outta there, without the engine on it gets really hot sitting in there, due toe the lack of AC." He fiddled around the engine trying to figure out what had broken on it, this was gonna take a minute, that and he didn't want to have to call Leon. "Why don't you talk with me while I do this," He grabbed his weapon and slung it to his side, didn't want anyone to get any ideas while he was attempting to fix the vehicle. "Like maybe explain how all this happened, if you know." He continued searching over the engine and its connections to see if anything had fried or become unconnected in the thrashing of the sudden stop.
